Happy New Year ~~

Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors,
and let each new year find you a better man. ~ Benjamin Franklin

Here at the Cabin New Years Eve is a quiet peaceful evening.....filled
with good food, a bottle of wine and hubby & me beside the fire.
We rarely make midnight anymore preferring to turn in early so as
to start the New Year off rested and ready for what ever may come ~~

Wishing You All a Wonderful Happy New Year filled with
Peace, Prosperity, Good Health,
Love, & Happiness ~~

Is it Winter or Spring ??

Good Afternoon Friends ~~
Hope all is well, and the day finds
you relaxing and enjoying some down time.
It was sixty degrees, and gray here at the Cabin
today. All the snow has melted and the stream, and
brooks that surround us have the same
rushing sound we hear at Spring Thaw.
I know this wont last, and more cold and snow
will come our way...but for today it was nice to get
outside without the fear of slipping on something
frozen...we may even grill tonight for supper.
The photo up top was just taken off my back deck,
what a Beautiful Sky ~~
Wishing You a Lovely Evening ~~

Every Single Evening ~~

Every single evening ~~ As I'm lying here in my bed, ~~
This Tiny Little Prayer keeps running through my head: ~~
God bless all my Family .....
Wherever they may be, Keep them warm, and safe from
harm for they're so very dear to me. ~~
And God, there is one more thing I wish that you could do; ~~
Hope you don't mind me asking, Please Bless my computer too.
Now I know that it's unusual To Bless a motherboard, ~~
But listen just a second while I explain it to you, Oh Lord. ~~
You see, that little metal box holds more than odds and ends; ~~
Inside those small compartments rest so many of my friends. ~~
I know so much about them by the kindness that they give, ~~
and this little scrap of metal takes me in to where they live. ~~

By faith is how I know them much the same as I know You. ~~
We share in what life brings us and from that our friendships grew. ~~
Please take an extra minute from your duties up above, ~~
To Bless those in my Blogger World that's filled with so much love. ~~
Wherever else this prayer may reach to each and every Friend, ~~
Bless each at their computer and each person who hits 'send'. ~~

When you update your Heavenly list On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer Sent up to GOD.com ~~

Blessings and Merry Christmas to All My Friends & Family ~~

Baby its Cold Outside !!!!

Baby its Cold Outside !!!!
Today is not as cold as yesterday......Thank Goodness ~~
We have been trying to keep the Cabin heated this year with only our wood stove, and fireplace. Its been a challenge these last few days when the temperature has dropped so low. It has definitely had me running, first outside to cart in the wood and then back and forth feeding both fires. Yikes takes alot of wood to keep them going, I'm not complaining exactly (lol) I'm grateful that we have the wood and that my husband did a wonderful job of splitting and stacking it up close to the house...makes it a short distance to retrieve it. It has certainly added and old fashion charm and Christmas feel .... here at the Cabin. Inside with the lights in the windows, trees softly glowing, the smell of fresh pine and fresh baked cookies you can tell Christmas is not far off. Add the sound of Christmas carols playing in the background and the very welcomed warmth of the fires it almost seems like something out of a movie.

I say ALMOST....that is till you roam away from the fire.....lol I quickly realize all activities must be planned around the source of heat.... just the way it was in days of old. So for now I'm signing off......because the heat does not extend into the office where the computer is. Going to make a cup of tea and

do some wrapping ~~
Hoping these days find you happy, warm and snug ~~

Finding a Quiet Spot ~~

Thank You All for your Sweet Comments ~~ I did have a wonderful day in the woods with the girls on Saturday, came back with baskets loaded with greens and precious memories. Found our little charlie brown tree will take a few photos when I get a minute.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At this time of year.....I find I go about things quickly...sometimes too quickly not really absorbing what I am doing...or how much fun the process is. There is so much packed into a short amount of time. I am trying to take time out every few days to find a quiet place to rethink...refresh...and reflect, on all I have accomplished, and all I want to accomplish in the coming days. Some days my list is small .... some days its great either way I am thankful for all Ive been given, and for the ability to create, sustain, and maintain our simple life here at the Cabin. We have been truly blessed with much joy and love in our lives....and I never want to get too busy to remember that, savor the fact and give thanks.
Hope you can take a few minutes to relax, and reflect on the joys in your life especially at this most Wonderful Time of the Year ~~
